I built a PC quite some time back, mainly wanna use it as a gaming machine. The spec is not extremely high end, but it’s decent enough to play many games including the current AAA games.
My use case for this PC is slightly different than many others, I usually stream it using Sunshine, I rarely sitting in front of it and play games. I have been switching back and fore between Windows 11 and Arch Linux. Both has its pros and cons, Windows 11 has the best gaming compatibility while Arch Linux makes me feel right at home.
Everything changed when the Steam Deck is released. The OS makes a lot of sense when you only need it to do mostly one thing “Gaming”. Valve said that they will release SteamOS to the general public, but until now, it’s still not released. Many other alternative are there now and Bazzite is the one that keeps popping up from Reddit. I decided to give a shot and see why is it being recommended by so many.
Everything just works out of the box right after I installed it, all I need to do next is just login to my Steam account and download the games that I wanna play. Even Sunshine is officially supported by Bazzite, I just need to run a few commands and all the setup will be done automatically.
It really transformed my PC to almost feel like a gaming console, thank you to those who are behind Bazzite, you really made something incredible!
